Volunteer and See What Develops
Presidents Message: More then a SchoolWest Coast School holds a special place in my heart. WCS 2010 was my eighth year serving as a classroom assistant
aka (YellowJacket). I am anxiously awaiting next years roster of fine instructors.
In the 1970's my Father, the late Neale Adair served as Chairman of the board at WCS. As a kid those times were like a family vacation. We would load up the car and make the trek to Santa Barbara where classes were held on the campus of Brookes Institute for the week.
A student from that period would have taken classes from the likes of Dean Collins, Don Blair and Pete Baird just to name a few. My Mother Lisa Adair recalls a student by the name of Joyce Wilson soaking up knowledge on the Brookes campus in the 70's. Not long after that my Father passed away and the next year Mom and I made the trip one last time.
Now, every year when I return to WCS I bring with me the memories of years past. I reflect on the time in fellowship with other photographers and I am always humbled by how much they are willing to share of themselves.
'Til next year,
Your Prez.
