 Registration is closed

Our image category workshops are designed for those interested in improving their image(s) in efforts to earn Image Competition merits (score of 80 or above) in a specific category. Each session will feature an instructor that will guide you through the core principles of composition, exposure, final capture, and post-process editing that will elevate the quality of your image(s).

For this workshop, we’re excited to welcome professional children’s photographer, Pete Rezac (M.Photog.Cr, CPP), as our instructor. He will go over how to consult with your client prior to the portrait session including discussing clothing, dirt, expression, and the props to be used. In addition, Pete will delve into how to produce good expressions, poses, lighting, and efficiency in the session.

Meet the Instructor – Pete Rezac

Pete Rezac, a portrait photographer based in Reno, Nevada, still chooses to work with medium and large format cameras and film in creating his fine art portraiture because of the tactile process it provides him in creating his work, along with the rich tones and high fidelity of the photographs that come from these tools.

Seeking an authentic look to his children character portraits, Pete was inspired to create timeless portraits showing children at their best. This work has earned him numerous accolades from the photographic community.
