Join our hosts, Troy Miller and Steve Brazill, as they talk with Darren McBurnett—retired Navy SEAL, accomplished speaker, and accomplished photographer—about his incredible journey as a Navy SEAL/Photographer. He’ll share his philosophies on how to:

- Plan your shoot, shoot your plan
- If it’s stupid but it works, then it’s not stupid
Meet our guest
On the heels of a 24-year career as a Navy SEAL, McB has become an accomplished speaker and motivator, presenting to companies and groups including CDW, Budweiser, Rite-Aid, Walk-Ons, Albany Road Real, and many others.
He is also an award-winning photographer, with his professional portfolio including work for NIKE, National Geographic, Fox and Friends, Rolling Stone, CBS SEAL Team, and the movie “Act of Valor.” His work has appeared on everything from album covers to billboards to walls of Fortune 500 companies and is in the homes of Charlie Sheen, Kid Rock, Jim McMahon, and ore. One of his eagle photographs hangs in the White House.

Troy Miller as a creative has chosen wedding photography as his full-time profession for over 25 years. Having earned his Masters of Photography from PPA, he’s received numerous awards throughout his career. Troy is also the creator of f64 Live, an annual photography event providing educations and experience for photographers of all levels. When he’s not planning f64 Live or photographing brides, he can be found in his shop creating art with other mediums such as welding, fabricating, ceramics, or just lighting things on fire.

Steve Brazill is a Southern California based live music photographer, host of the Behind the Shot Podcast, emcee, voice actor, and on-air personality at 96.7 KCAL FM. He also does a series of live streamed image critique shows on the podcast with macro photographer Don Komarechka. As an educator, Steve does speaking engagements on live music photography, and classes for Princeton Photo Workshops.
