SUMMARY:Introduction to Concert Photography
DESCRIPTION: Registration for this workshop has been closed.\n  \nConcert photography is one of the most challenging types of photography there is – and it’s addicting. You have no control over the lighting or the position of the subjects. Stages are filled with amps\, instruments\, mic stands\, and wires. And don’t get me started on the lighting\, which is usually odd colors and fast changing. Through scenes like this\, some of the most iconic photos of our lives have been taken. If you have ever wanted to get a glimpse into live music photography\, then join us for this Introduction to Concert Photography workshop. \nLive Music photography is usually limited to media professionals\, shooting from an area called “the photo pit”\, which sits between the stage and the crowd\, and which is closed to the general public. These areas are small\, and often crowded with security personnel\, and of course other photographers. The standard rule for concert photographers is “3 from the pit\, no flash”\, which translates to shooting the first 3 songs\, with no flash”. In this workshop we will try to give you a small glimpse into one of the exclusive genres of photography. \nThis is a “hands-on” workshop and you will be expected to have an educated understanding of your camera’s controls and how to adjust them. \n  \n\n  \nMeet the Instructor – Steve Brazill\nSteve Brazill is a Southern California based Live Music Photographer\, a member of our Board of Directors\, Host of the Behind the Shot podcast\, and the house photographer for San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in Highland\, CA. He also shoots for rock radio station 96.7 KCAL FM\, where he has also been an on-air personality since 1987. As a radio personality\, emcee\, and voice actor\, Steve has been around the entertainment industry for many years. Combining his love of both music & photography\, Steve captures those defining moments that happen during a live performance – on-stage or behind-the-scenes. \n  \nCheck out More of Steve’s Work \nPortfolio  |  Twitter (@Razz2)  |  Facebook (@SteveBrazillPhotography)  |  Instagram (@SteveBrazill) \nSample of Steve’s Work\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \n\n\nENTRY COST\n\nIEPPV Premium Members = FREE\nIEPPV Introductory and Professional Members = $175\nNon-IEPPV Members = $350\n\n\nREGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS\nIEPPV Premium\, Professional\, and Introductory Members: \nYour membership number is required at registration or you cannot complete the registration process. SUMMARY:Wild Horses in the Winter
DESCRIPTION: Registration for this workshop has been closed.\n  \nThe Onaqui (on-nah-kee) Wild Horse Herd is approximately 200 or more. The herd has occupied the mountains since the early 1800’s. No one knows for sure how they arrived. The herd is accessed through the many 4WD roads and trails that run through the tens of thousands of acres of unfenced federal and state land that the horses roam on. Water is plentiful\, mostly through the stock reservoirs and streams\, which are fed by winter snows and spring runoff. \nThe herd contains a large variety of color. You will see Chestnut\, Brown\, Bay\, Gray\, Palomino\, Black\, Buckskin\, Roan\, Paint and Sorrel. The variety is endless due to the frequent breeding within the herd. There are many foal\, yearlings\, and colts that roam with the herd with their color being largely varied. Most mares and stallions weigh in near ½ ton and the herd generally appears in good health. \nItinerary for the event will be sent out to registrants. \n  \n\n\nENTRY COST\nTravel\, accommodations\, guide fee\, and food are NOT included in entry cost  \n\nIEPPV Premium Members = FREE\nIEPPV Introductory and Professional Members = $350\nNon-IEPPV Members = $700\n\n\nREGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS\nIEPPV Premium\, Professional\, and Introductory Members: \nYour membership number is required at registration or you cannot complete the registration process. SUMMARY:Software Class #1
DESCRIPTION: Registration is CLOSED – To inquire about possible openings\, contact troy@ieppv.com\nFrom the instructor\, Troy Miller\n“As a full-time photographer for nearly 25 years\, just over half that time has been digital. I remember the simpler days when I didn’t have to manage my data\, color correct\, print\, manage social media and on and on. Today the biggest hurdle I see in becoming a photographer isn’t the photography itself\, it’s managing all the baggage that’s required. \nI will try to guide and ease your way into which software works for me and how I use it. I am an avid software consumer\, so I’ve tested more than my fair share and own more than I could ever use. The workflow philosophy that I’ve developed and the ultimate decision factors of how I choose software all depends on simplicity and efficiency of workflow. \nEach class will build on the previous. I will show my workflow and the software I use as well as the countless alternatives. My goal will be for you to have a complete workflow from shoot to print. Bring your laptops\, images\, and questions. Be ready for some homework! Those who register will receive an email with images and some homework to get you started.” \n  \n\n\nCURRICULUM SCHEDULE\nClass #1: Post-Shoot – February 26th \nThis first class will go through a post-shoot workflow.
