Join us and explore\, photograph some models\, and play with some fire. Your camera will not want to miss this journey to the Salton Sea! \nWe’ll also have cinematographer Fredy Sedano conducting a drone safety demo and 2 player flights throughout the day\, in addition to covering video best practices such as: \n\nCover frame rates\nPicture profiles\nFinding the light\nFocusing techniques and gear\n\n  \n \n  \nPlease Note: Lunch will be provided\, however\, attendees will be responsible for providing their own transportation. Candidates\nAll S.P.A. candidates will receive a credit of 30 minutes towards their 10-hour mentoring/”assist another photographer” requirement. DESCRIPTION:This is a Level 2 event \n Registration: OPENS February 6 @ 6am / CLOSES February 20 @ 6am\nComposing & Creating Powerful Landscape Images\nKnown for his emotional and evocative imagery\, our guest instructor and award-winning photographer\, Dan Holmes\, will share with the class his secret recipe—i.e. the What\, Why\, Where\, and How in using compositional elements to create powerful landscape and nature photographs. \nThere will be a 30-minute lunch break—Please bring your own lunch. \nTopics to Cover\n\nMajor compositional elements – the What\nHow to use compositional elements in your photography – the Why\nIdentifying compositional elements in photos and artworks – the Where\nHow to look for and find compositional elements in nature/life/studio – the Where\nHow compositional elements work – the How\nIncorporating compositional elements into your photographs – the How\n\nAgenda for the Day\nThis full-day class will have 3 segments: \n\nSpend time discussing how to create powerful landscape and nature photographs with examples from places throughout the world\nEditing and finishing photographs using Lightroom and Photoshop\nImage critique of participants’ photographs—We will randomly select photographs submitted by participants for critique and discussion\n\n  \nAll image submissions will be due by February 20th at 5pm. His photographic workshops cover creating powerful photographs\, digital workflow\, field workshops and photo adventure tours.
