A Hands-On Fire Photography Workshop with Troy Miller

Fire has a way of stopping people in their tracks. It demands attention. It creates drama. And when photographed well, it can turn a good image into an unforgettable one.

In this workshop, Troy Miller shares his long-standing passion for fire and photography in a hands-on, members-only workshop designed to help you safely and creatively incorporate fire into your work.

This is not a lecture-style class. This is an immersive, outdoor shooting experience where you’ll learn how to prepare for fire photography, work in a controlled environment, and confidently capture powerful, high-impact images.

With guided instruction, live demonstrations, and real-time feedback, Troy will walk you through the mindset, techniques, and safety practices needed to work with fire—so you can start using it as a creative tool, not just a visual gimmick.

Whether you’re looking to expand your portfolio or push your creative boundaries, this workshop will give you the foundation to start playing with fire the right way!

Important: This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced photographers (IEPPV members only) who are comfortable with their camera and ready to explore more creative, high-impact techniques.
