Equestrians in the Water

Sign ups are no longer available as the registration limit as been met.

Alton Vance, a local equestrian photographer, has agreed to lead a workshop on photographing horses and cowboys. Alton was raised in Colorado on a working ranch owned by his father and has a vast knowledge of horses and their riders. He will be bringing models (horses & cowboys) into the Santa Ana River in Norco for this afternoon equestrian workshop.

Alton’s website displays many of his equestrian, landscape and wildlife images. His work hangs in several galleries and has been sold across the country. His award winning images are displayed on his website along with some of the honors that have been awarded to him.

This first hour of the workshop will be camera instruction and set-up, then into the Santa Ana River bed in Norco for 2+ hours of photography. Bring your camera, lenses, media cards and whatever you will need to take photographs. This is a “hands on” workshop and you will be taking photographs.

Alton will share his secrets of photographing silhouettes at sunset, photographing cowboys in action, photographing to sell and much, much more.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to photograph horses (or any other animal), this is the workshop to attend.

Address of workshop will be provided to registrants.
