Route 66 Workshop

 Registration has been closed.

Route 66 is an icon and to many travelers, it signifies the “freedom of the road”.  It is nicknamed “The Mother Road”, as popularized by John Steinbeck. It starts in Chicago and ends in Santa Monica at the Santa Monica Pier.

Such names as Winslow Arizona, Oatman, and Kingman come to mind when you think of Route 66. There are many popular spots along the highway to stop and reflect on the “old days” when this was the main highway across the United States. Many parts of the highway are now in disrepair and have been re-routed to other highways for short distances.

Our efforts are going to concentrate on Route 66 as it passes through Victorville California. There are many abandoned homes, businesses, farms, automobiles and other things along the highway as we explore “abandoned dreams” of days gone by.

Join us for this one-day hands-on workshop. Bring your camera gear, your questions, and prepare to have a fun day!
